STEM-EP seeks out ambitious two-year college transfer students and recent high school graduates who have a strong desire to succeed in a quality and rewarding four-year degree program at Prairie View A&M University. Mathematics: The Origin of STEM Academic Excellence STEM-EP leadership and faculty are fully committed to the concept that mathematics is the origin of academic success. Prairie View A&M University began STEM-EP seven years ago with the committment to apply a solid "Mathematics Reform Foundation" that has become the model for other universities nationwide. STEM Summer Institute and Lecture Series For seven years, the nine-week, academic intensive STEM Summer Institute has strengthened mathematics, computer, communications and professional skills of college transfer students and recent high school graduates.
